India Maoists

This is a developing story that is fascinating, considering the volume of news coverage devoted to groups deemed "terrorist" in Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other places. Perhaps if these Maoists have any desire for global recognition, they should start producing videos...or get a better name. Or have some t-shirts made up. Mao II indeed. Let's send Jonathan Safran Foer over to negotiate.

And how fun is this?

Burt Reynolds Movie Guide

Hooper, 1978. ( ^ ^ ^ ^ ) Reynolds plays Hooper, an aging stuntman who realizes young hot shots like Ski Chinski (played by Jan Michael Vincent) are the way of the future.

Jan Michael Vincent as a "young hot shot" and "the way of the future." How prophetic. And an interesting survey could ask the question: how many people in America have bought the 3 dollar Big Lots Cannonball Run DVD? The data collection could easily rival the upcoming census.

Speaking of which, somewhere in Atlanta, Lou Dobbs lights a cigar.

Markets Slow Immigration

Maybe Dobbs is right...America should be for Americans. Or at least the natives, like the "Indian of the group."
